Our Story

Overberg Media Group began as a passion project in 2021 — built on the belief that local businesses deserve powerful, professional platforms to showcase what they offer. What started as a simple idea has grown into a full-scale media agency serving multiple regions across South Africa.

Today, we are proud to be the home of The Overberg Directory, Cape Connect, East Rand Connect, and KZN Connect — business directory publications that connect communities with trusted local services and brands. Our directories are published quarterly, available both in beautifully produced print editions and accessible digital formats, ensuring businesses reach their audiences wherever they are.

Our journey has been one of growth, learning, and resilience. Like any growing business, we have faced challenges and made mistakes along the way — but those moments have shaped us, strengthened us, and refined our vision. Every lesson has helped us build a stronger network for our advertisers.

As we’ve grown, so has our network of talented professionals. In addition to our core team, we collaborate with various freelance specialists and provide opportunities to young graduates across our different platforms and departments. From design and content creation to sales, publishing, and digital media, we are proud to create space for emerging talent to learn, contribute, and grow within the industry.
